He will be charged with strengthening and delivering an original slate of factual programming. Furlong previously worked at Optomen, where his credits include <em>Employable Me<\/em> (BBC Two, BBC Three), <em>Kevin McCloud\u2019s Escape to the Wild<\/em> (Channel 4) and <em>Heston\u2019s Feasts<\/em> (Channel 4).<\/p>\n<p>Richard Hague, one of Remarkable\u2019s in-house executive producers, was promoted to the new role of head of entertainment. He will be responsible for overseeing original and returning entertainment programming. Hague first joined Endemol Shine UK in 2005. During his\u00a0time at the company, he has been behind award-winning hit entertainment series such as <em>The Big Spell<\/em> for Sky 1 and <em>Deal or No Deal on Tour<\/em> for Channel 4, as well as BBC One&#8217;s game show hit <em>Pointless<\/em> and its Saturday night offering <em>Pointless Celebrities<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Both Furlong and Hague will report to James Fox and Kitty Walshe, joint managing directors. Fox and Walshe commented: &#8220;As we look to further diversify our portfolio, we are hugely excited to have Richard and Patrick in these new roles. Richard is a first-class producer and has played a significant role in Remarkable\u2019s success, while Patrick has a proven track record in quality factual formats for the major broadcasters.
