LONDON: A+E Networks UK has appointed Jessica Haagmans as regional director for Benelux, a newly created role that is effective at the end of September.<\/p>\n

Haagmans will be A+E Networks’s first staff member in the region, based out of the company’s new Benelux office in Amsterdam. She will be responsible for expanding the growth of A+E’s portfolio of channels, strengthening the company’s relationships with its affiliate partners and media sales house in the region and finding new commercial opportunities, with a focus on digital platforms. She will work under Nicolas Eglau, A+E Networks UK’s chief operating officer and general manager for the Nordics, Benelux and CEEMEA.<\/p>\n

Haagmans previously served as the managing director of Affilinet Benelux, where she handled all sales activity in the region and streamlined the company’s client-facing processes while leading\u00a0the acquisition of Cleafs. She is also a board member of the Association of Platform Affiliate Networks in the Netherlands. Earlier in her career, Haagmans held senior positions at such companies as Sanoma, Urbanology Group and IDTV.<\/p>\n

Eglau commented: \u201cWe are delighted to welcome Jessica Haagmans as our first regional director for the Benelux and her appointment marks a significant step in A+E Networks\u2019s ambitions in the region. I\u2019m confident that with Jessica\u2019s leadership experience and digital knowledge, we can build on our success to become an even bigger player [in] this market.\u201d<\/p>\n
