LONDON: Digital channel Talking Pictures TV has acquired iconic British films through two library deals with ITV Studios Global Entertainment and the Samuel Goldwyn and Woodfall libraries, distributed by Miramax.<\/p>\n

Talking Pictures TV airs classic British movies and picked up more than 70 films through the agreement with ITV Studios Global Entertainment. The package includes Henry V<\/em>, Reach for the Sky<\/em>, Whistle Down the Wind<\/em>, In Which We Serve<\/em>, The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp<\/em>, Hell Drivers<\/em>, The Bulldog Breed<\/em>, S\u00e9ance on a Wet Afternoon<\/em>, Defence of the Realm<\/em> and Tarka the Otter<\/em>.<\/p>\n

In addition, Talking Pictures TV acquired 33 films from\u00a0the Samuel Goldwyn and Woodfall libraries through a deal with Miramax. The agreement covers titles such as The Entertainer<\/em>, Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner<\/em>, Look Back in Anger<\/em>, Saturday Night and Sunday Morning<\/em>\u00a0and A Taste of Honey<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Talking Pictures TV’s head of acquisitions, Noel Cronin, said: “We\u2019re thrilled to have agreed these major deals that include some of the most acclaimed and influential movies in the history of British filmmaking; they are fantastic additions to our ever-expanding library of classic cinema.”<\/p>\n
