LONDON: BBC Worldwide has ramped up investment in its Western Europe content sales team, with the creation of new specialist roles and an expanded remit for Executive VP Tobi de Graaff.<\/p>\n
As part of the changes, de Graaff takes on the additional responsibility for managing BBC Worldwide\u2019s relationships with key global customers. Nick Percy has been appointed as executive VP of Northern Europe. Percy will oversee all of the company\u2019s business activities in this region, consisting of the Nordics and Benelux. He assumes responsibility for the Northern European channels portfolio, the newly formed production base BBC Worldwide Productions Nordics and the regional TV and format sales businesses. Percy was previously VP and general manager for Central and Eastern Europe, and prior to that was director of business development and digital at BBC Worldwide.<\/p>\n
Paul Dempsey, the president of global markets at BBC Worldwide, said, “We have enjoyed great success in Benelux and the Nordics under Tobi\u2019s leadership, launching our three new genre brands, creating the new production entity and increasing sales revenue. With the increasing importance of big customers to the key sales region of Western Europe Tobi will now take on additional responsibility for managing these crucial relationships.
