LONDON\/SANTA MONICA: Lionsgate UK has appointed seasoned international sales exec Charlotte Thorp as the company’s senior VP and head of TV sales for the European market.<\/p>\n

In her new position, Thorp will work out of Lionsgate UK’s London headquarters. She will oversee the company’s licensing of films and television programming to broadcast, cable and digital platforms throughout the U.K. and across Europe. Lionsgate UK recently moved into the\u00a0TV\u00a0business by acquiring an equity stake in British indie prodco Kindle Entertainment.<\/p>\n

Thorp previously served as senior VP and head of film and TV sales for eOne Film UK and eOne Television International. Before that, she was head of TV sales and business development for film at eOne UK. Earlier in her career, she was director of worldwide sales and distribution in broadcast, DVD and new media for HanWay Films. She also held executive positions at MTV Networks and HIT Entertainment.<\/p>\n
