LONDON: The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has unveiled the nominations for this year’s TV awards, which see the historical drama Wolf Hall<\/em> leading with four nods.<\/p>\n

The nominees for lead actor are Wolf Hall<\/em>‘s Mark Rylance, Luther<\/em>‘s Idris Elba, Ben Whishaw of London Spy<\/em> and Stephen Graham for This Is England \u201990<\/em>. The lead actress nominees are Wolf Hall<\/em>‘s Claire Foy, Ruth Madeley for Don\u2019t Take My Baby<\/em>, Sheridan Smith for The C-Word<\/em> and Suranne Jones for Doctor Foster<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Supporting nods on the actor side went to Anton Lesser of Wolf Hall<\/em>, Cyril Nri for Cucumber<\/em>, Ian Mckellan for The Dresser<\/em> and Tom Courtenay for Unforgotten<\/em>. In the actress arena, supporting nominees are Chanel Cresswell for This Is England \u201990<\/em>, Eleanor Worthington-Cox for The Enfield Haunting<\/em>, Lesley Manville for River<\/em> and Michelle Gomez for Doctor Who<\/em>.<\/p>\n

In the entertainment category, those up for best performance are Graham Norton for The Graham Norton Show<\/em>, Leigh Francis for Celebrity Juice<\/em>, Romesh Ranganathan for Asian Provocateur<\/em> and Stephen Fry for QI<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The comedy nominees for best actor feature Hugh Bonneville for W1A<\/em>, Javone Prince for The Javone Prince Show<\/em>, Peter Kay for Peter Kay\u2019s Car Share<\/em> and Toby Jones for Detectorists<\/em>. The comedic actress nominees are Michaela Coel for Chewing Gum<\/em>, Miranda Hart for Miranda<\/em>, Sian Gibson for Peter Kay\u2019s Car Share<\/em> and Sharon Horgan for Catastrophe<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Wolf Hall<\/em> is among the nominees for best drama series, alongside Humans<\/em>, The Last Panthers<\/em> and No Offence<\/em>. The single drama contenders are The C-Word<\/em>, Cyberbully<\/em>, Don\u2019t Take My Baby<\/em> and The Go-Between<\/em>. The miniseries nominated for the BAFTA TV award are Doctor Foster<\/em>, The Enfield Haunting<\/em>, London Spy<\/em> and This Is England \u201990<\/em>. Up for best soap and continuing drama are Coronation Street<\/em>, EastEnders<\/em>, Emmerdale<\/em> and Holby City<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The Good Wife<\/em>, Narcos<\/em>, Spiral<\/em> and Transparent<\/em> are vying for the international award.<\/p>\n

The factual series nominated are The Detectives<\/em>, Great Ormond Street<\/em>, The Murder Detectives<\/em> and The Tribe<\/em>. The series nominated in the special factual category are Britain\u2019s Forgotten Slave Owners<\/em>, Grayson Perry\u2019s Dream House<\/em>, The Hunt<\/em> and Rudolf Nureyev: Dance To Freedom<\/em>. In the single documentary arena, nominees are Bitter Lake<\/em>, Life After Suicide<\/em>, Louis Theroux: Transgender Kids<\/em> and My Son The Jihadi<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The features nominated are Back In Time For Dinner<\/em>, The Great British Bake Off,<\/em> Kevin Mccloud: Escape To The Wild<\/em> and Travel Man<\/em>. In the category for reality\/constructed factual, the series up for the award are First Dates<\/em>, Gogglebox<\/em>, I\u2019m A Celebrity\u2026Get Me Out Of Here!<\/em> and The Secret Life Of 5 Year Olds<\/em>. Current affairs nominees are Children Of The Gaza War<\/em>, Escape From ISIS<\/em> (Dispatches<\/em>), Jihad: A British Story<\/em> and Outbreak: The Truth About Ebola<\/em> (This World<\/em>).<\/p>\n

The entertainment contenders are Adele at The BBC<\/em>, Britain\u2019s Got Talent<\/em>, Strictly Come Dancing<\/em> and TFI Friday Anniversary Special<\/em>. Up for comedy and comedy entertainment program are Charlie Brooker\u2019s Election Wipe<\/em>, Have I Got News For You<\/em>, QI<\/em> and Would I Lie To You<\/em>. The series up for scripted comedy are Chewing Gum<\/em>, Peep Show<\/em>, People Just Do Nothing<\/em> and Peter Kay\u2019s Car Share<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The Radio Times Audience Award, which is voted for by members of the public, will be presented to either Doctor Foster<\/em>, The Great British Bake Off<\/em>, Humans<\/em>,\u00a0Making A Murderer<\/em>, Peter Kay\u2019s Car Share<\/em> or Poldark<\/em>.<\/p>\n
