MAINZ: ZDF Enterprises (ZDFE) has unveiled its highlights for MIPTV, with a drama slate that is led by the three-part Ku\u2019damm \u201956: Rebel with a Cause<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Ku\u2019damm \u201956: Rebel with a Cause<\/em> is one of the 12 programs selected for the MIPDrama Screenings. The 3×90-minute event special, which is set in post-war Berlin, is the latest addition to the ZDFE.drama catalogue. Fred Burcksen, ZDFE\u2019s executive VP and COO, believes Ku\u2019damm \u201956<\/em> could \u201ceasily turn into a binge-viewing favorite, with its stunningly realistic sets, costumes and, of course, stories.\u201d<\/p>\n

Further drama highlights include the 20×1-hour Thicker than Water II<\/em> and the 11×1-hour second season of The Fall<\/em>.<\/p>\n

ZDF Enterprises\u2019 factual programs include the hour-long First Flight: Conquest of the Skies<\/em>, which seeks to clear up who actually first flew a motorized airplane. The documentary Why Size Matters<\/em> reveals that when it comes to the universe, size really does matter. And in The Lesser Caucasus<\/em>, viewers explore barely accessible stretches of mountains between Europe and Asia.<\/p>\n

ZDF Enterprises is showcasing entertainment formats, including the believe-it-or-not game show You Can\u2019t Fool Me!<\/em> Also in the ZDFE.entertainment library is the party-game-inspired family show The Game Begins! The Big Show for 3 to 99<\/em>. Also featured in the entertainment portfolio are Quiz Champion<\/em>, which challenges players with some of the trickiest questions in the genre, and Dalli Dalli<\/em>, a revised classic.<\/p>\n

ZDFE.junior has among its highlights Wolfblood<\/em> and its companion piece Wolfblood Uncovered<\/em>. There’s also Scream Street<\/em>, Coconut, the Little Dragon<\/em> and New Adventures of Peter Pan<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cMIPTV 2016 will be a particularly important market for us since we are lead partner of the special Focus on Germany, which will shine the spotlight on German TV programming and production,\u201d says Alexander Coridass, the CEO of ZDF Enterprises.<\/p>\n
