He assumes the post ahead of the government&#8217;s upcoming review of the broadcaster, which may result in privatization.<\/p>\n<p>David Abraham, Channel 4&#8217;s chief executive, said: &#8220;Charles clearly brings a wealth of experience to the role from both the business world and his work in the charity and not-for-profit sectors.
