Whitwell has been serving as head of programming for the company, which he joined in 2012 from Optomen.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tBoth execs take up their new positions at the start of 2016. The promotions follow on Kelly Webb-Lamb&#039;s previous announcement of a planned departure at the end of 2015.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tRichard Johnston, CEO of Endemol Shine UK, said: &ldquo;Both Tanya and Tim have played a large part in the company&rsquo;s success in recent years helping Shine TV become synonymous with brave, ambitious, high-profile factual programming through returning hits such as <em>The Island With Bear Grylls <\/em>and <em>Hunted<\/em>. Each has an innate understanding of the company&rsquo;s DNA making them ideal choices to step up into their new roles.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>\n\tShaw commented: &ldquo;I&rsquo;m very proud to be taking up the managing director mantle, and look forward to working with the exceptional team to build on what&rsquo;s been achieved together in recent years.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>\n\tWhitwell added: &ldquo;We&rsquo;re up for it.
