\n\tLONDON: David Schwimmer (Friends<\/em>) has joined the cast of the new Julia Davis sitcom Morning Has Broken<\/em>, due to air in 2016 on Channel 4.  <\/p>\n

\n\tThe 6×30-minute series is produced by Brown Eyed Boy. Davis will play the role of Gail Sinclair, the star of a TV morning show. Schwimmer will play an American producer brought in to try to save the floundering fictional series. Davis's co-writer, Nick Mohammed, will portray one of Gail's fellow anchors. <\/p>\n

\n\tDavis said she is “looking forward to experimenting with friends whose work I love.”<\/p>\n

\n\tSchwimmer added, “I've been a massive fan of Julia's for years, and I'm thrilled to be able to finally work with her and Nick on this fantastic comedy."<\/p>\n

\n\tRachel Springett, the commissioning editor for comedy at Channel 4, said, “Julia is undoubtedly one of our most talented comedic writers and actresses and it’s a testament to the quality of her writing that she can attract such a big star. We are thrilled to have David Schwimmer star alongside Julia in this exciting new series for the channel.”<\/p>\n
