{"id":6123,"date":"2015-09-11T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2015-09-11T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tveurope\/2015\/09\/11\/vivendi-buys-french-tv-studio\/"},"modified":"2015-09-11T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2015-09-11T00:00:00","slug":"vivendi-buys-french-tv-studio","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tveurope\/2015\/09\/11\/vivendi-buys-french-tv-studio\/","title":{"rendered":"Vivendi Buys French TV Studio"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n\tPARIS: Vivendi has acquired the Studios de Boulogne facilities in Paris, where two of CANAL+&#039;s leading TV shows, <em>Le Grand Journal<\/em> and <em>Canal Football Club<\/em>, are being produced.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe studio was established in the early 1940s and was the setting for more than 300 French features, including <em>La dame aux cam&eacute;lias, Les vacances de monsieur Hulot, Touchez pas au grisbi, Les grandes manoeuvres<\/em>, and also scenes from&nbsp;<em>Fant&ocirc;mas<\/em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>Les grandes vacances.<\/em> Among the American films to have been shot there are Billy Wilder&rsquo;s <i>Love in the Afternoon<\/i>, John Huston&rsquo;s <i>The Roots of Heaven<\/i>, Martin Ritt&rsquo;s <i>Paris Blues<\/i>&nbsp;and Stanley Donen&rsquo;s <i>Charade<\/i> with Audrey Hepburn and Cary Grant.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tIn 2000, the studio was renovated to become a major TV-production facility.
