\n\tLONDON: Channel 4 has purchased an equity stake in the production company Voltage TV, which was founded by former heads of Dragonfly Film and TV.<\/p>\n
\n\tThe U.K. factual indie was set up by Sanjay Singhal, formerly the managing director of Dragonfly, and Steven Nam, former COO. Key productions from Voltage TV include X Ray Mega Airport<\/em>, which Discovery Networks International will broadcast later this year.<\/p>\n \n\tThis latest deal from the corporation’s £20 million Growth Fund follows its recent investment in Renowned Films earlier this year.<\/p>\n \n\tDavid Abraham, the chief executive at Channel 4, said: “In just over a year since the launch of the Growth Fund we have assembled a diverse and dynamic collection of seven highly talented British companies to partner with.<\/p>\n \n\t“We are delighted to include Voltage in this group. Under the expert stewardship of Sanjay and Steve, in less than two years, Voltage have proven themselves to be one of the fastest moving factual indies on the scene. ”<\/p>\n \n\tSinghal added: “We’re delighted to have this new investment.
