\n\tLONDON: The BAFTA TV Awards, which took place last night, saw Happy Valley <\/em>scoring the win for drama series, while True Detective <\/em>won the prize for international.<\/p>\n

\n\tHappy Valley <\/em>beat out Line of Duty<\/em>, The Missing <\/em>and Peaky Blinders <\/em>in the drama category. Georgina Campbell won for lead actress for Murdered by My Boyfriend<\/em>, while Jason Watkins of The Lost Honour of Christopher Jefferies<\/em> won for lead actor. The series Marvellous <\/em>took home the BAFTA for best single drama. Marvellous<\/em>'s Gemma Jones was the winner for supporting actress. The supporting actor nod went to Stephen Rea of The Honourable Woman<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe best soap\/continuing drama winner was Coronation Street<\/em>. The Lost Honour of Christopher Jefferies <\/em>came out on top in the miniseries category.<\/p>\n

\n\tDetectorists <\/em>was the winner in the category of situation comedy. In the comedy performance arena, Jessica Hynes was honored for W1A <\/em>and Matt Berry for Toast of London<\/em>. Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly of Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway <\/em>were honored for best entertainment performance, while the show itself won for best entertainment program.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn the category of specialist factual, Grayson Perry: Who Are You?<\/em> took home that BAFTA honor. The Graham Norton Show <\/em>received the award for best comedy and comedy entertainment program. The winner for reality\/constructed factual was The Island with Bear Grylls<\/em>. The factual series Life and Death Row <\/em>also received an award last night.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Radio Times Audience Award (voted for by members of the public) went to Sherlock<\/em>. True Detective <\/em>went up against The Good Wife, <\/em>House of Cards <\/em>and Orange Is the New Black <\/em>in the international category and took the win.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
