The first season, which debuted in May 2014, ranked as the number one program daily in the BBC One time slot. The format is being sold globally by Warner Bros. International Television Distribution.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tGary Chippington, the head of entertainment for STV Productions, said: &quot;The first series of <em>The Link<\/em> proved to be a ratings hit and we are thrilled to secure a commission for another 40 episodes. We look forward to bringing the BBC One daytime audience new episodes of this engaging quiz show later this year.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>\n\tPJ Johnson, executive producer for LTV Productions, added: &quot;We hope the second series for <em>The Link<\/em> will build and further expand our loyal BBC One audience in the U.K.; while further creating more excitement with all our Warner Bros.
