\n\tSTOCKHOLM: TV4 Group has reorganized its content department to bring together both the formats and acquisitions units, which will now be led by Cathrine Wiernik.<\/p>\n

\n\tWiernik, currently the head of formats and development, will serve as head of acquisitions and formats at the TV4 Group. She takes up the post as of July 1, after which time the position of director of acquisitions at the TV4 Group will disappear. Clara Scherman, the current director of acquisitions, has been offered a new position within the group.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe integration of the two units is expected to increase flexibility between Swedish local production, multiplatform content, international acquisitions and drama.<\/p>\n

\n\tWiernik said: “In a digitalized and rapidly changing media world, flexibility and interaction between acquisitions and local productions is becoming ever more important, regardless of platform. Having previously relied on international output deals, we will now need to work more closely with both national and international production companies and producers, so that we continue to secure the best and most locally relevant content.”<\/p>\n

\n\tScherman commented: “My years as director of acquisitions at the TV4 Group have been fantastic and I am very proud of what we have achieved. Major changes are now taking place across the entire media landscape, and TV4’s program offering and organization will be adapting accordingly.
