Romanus will continue his role as head of development at the company.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tMost recently, Makaroff was the managing director of FremantleMedia in Finland. She has spent nearly two decades working in the television industry, both in front of the camera and behind it as a developer and producer of drama and entertainment.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tMakaroff commented: &ldquo;I am very happy and excited to join the Shine Group and work with the extremely talented creative professionals of Friday TV. I am well aware of the impressive history that Friday TV has with its formats and it will be my privilege and joy to lead this accomplished company.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>\n\tGary Carter, Shine Group&rsquo;s chairman for Northern Europe, added: &ldquo;Marika Makaroff has an exemplary track record in the media industry. She is a rare combination of creativity, entrepreneurialism and leadership.
