\n\tLONDON: BBC Worldwide has announced a joint development partnership with the indie Lonesome Pine, which was founded by former BBC Radio 2 controller and CEO of Lime Pictures Lesley Douglas.<\/p>\n
\n\tDouglas, who was also managing director of commercial partnerships and television at Universal Music, set up Lonesome Pine in 2013 with Aschlin Ditta, a scriptwriter whose credits include The Catherine Tate Show <\/em>and Mr Sloane<\/em>.<\/p>\n \n\tThe agreement will see BBC Worldwide provide investment and global market support in return for the exclusive distribution rights for select output from Lonesome Pine.<\/p>\n \n\tHelen Jackson, BBC Worldwide’s chief content officer, said: “I can’t think of anyone who has better relationships with great U.K. talent than Lesley. We’re hugely excited to be collaborating with her and the team at Lonesome Pine and have high hopes for what we can achieve together.”<\/p>\n \n\tDouglas, Lonesome Pine’s director, commented: “As a new company this is a brilliant opportunity for Lonesome Pine. Already in the early weeks of our collaboration the possibilities feel exciting.
