Before the market, <em>Heroes <\/em>sold into Spain, Japan and the Czech Republic.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tHungary (MTV) and Croatia (HRT) went for the partly animated mini-series <em>Pinocchio<\/em>; Global Screen has nearly sold out the Eastern European territories for the title. Negotiations have started with buyers from the U.S., Italy, France, Spain, Sweden, Benelux, Japan, China and India.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe family saga <em>Weissensee <\/em>found a great deal of interest in France and Mexico. It was picked up by channels in Finland (YLE), Sweden (SVT), Croatia (HRT) and Slovenia (RTV).<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe drama <em>Donna Leon <\/em>went to SRC for French-speaking Canada.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe long-running action series <em>Alarm for Cobra 11 <\/em>has sold to all major territories, and Mongolia TV channel SBN (Supervision Broadcasting Network) can now be added to that list.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe romantic novela <em>Storm of Love <\/em>has been renewed in Italy (RTI\/Mediaset), Finland (MTV Oy), Estonia and Lithuania (Viasat TV 3) and the Czech Republic (TV Barrandov), among others.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tFrom its doc catalogue, Global Screen wrapped up deals for the docudrama <em>Charlemagne <\/em>in France (RMC Decouverte), Spain (TVE), China (Pan Universe Int), Russia (TV Kultura), Slovakia (Slovenska Televizia) and Slovenia (RTV Slovenija). <em>The Medici Files <\/em>was taken on in Spain (TVE) and Slovenia (RTV Slovenija). Viasat picked up the pay-TV rights for Scandinavia and Eastern Europe for both titles.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tIn the way of format deals, a U.S. production outfit picked up the remake rights for <em>The Door<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tMarlene Fritz, the head of TV sales with Global Screen, said, &ldquo;Once again we see that event movies and high-quality family entertainment and documentaries sell well on the international market.
