It will look at the greatest battlefield mystery of the Middle Ages, when the Scottish force all but destroyed the largest and most powerful feudal army ever assembled. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana\">The docudrama will air in the U.K. in 2014, marking the 700th anniversary of the battle in the First War of Scottish Independence. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana\">Rachel Job, the head of acquisitions and commissions for A+E Networks UK, said, &ldquo;<em>Bannockburn<\/em> is an ambitious and enthralling docudrama and I am delighted that this original commission will premiere on HISTORY in the U.K.&rdquo;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana\">Danny Tipping, the head of programming and development at Sky Vision, added, &ldquo;The graphic novel style of this documentary will bring it alive in a way not previously seen to give the viewer a more visual perspective on this famous clash between Scotland and England.&rdquo;<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>EDINBURGH: HISTORY UK has commissioned the one-off docudrama Bannockburn (working title), produced by Sky Vision and Canada&#8217;s Arcadia Content.
