LONDON: ITV has ordered Edge of Heaven<\/em>, a 6×1-hour comedic drama series, from Hartswood Films.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Edge of Heaven<\/span><\/em> revolves around the members of Taylor-Chatterjee family, who operate a 1980s-themed bed and breakfast in Margate. The cast of the show will be led by Blake Harrison (The Inbetweeners<\/em>), Justine Michelle Cain (WPC56<\/em>, Some Girls<\/em>), Camille Coduri (Him and Her<\/em>, Doctor Who<\/em>), Nitin Kundra (Steel River Blues<\/em>, Celebrity Juice<\/em>), Laura Checkley (Checkley and Bush<\/em>), Louisa Lytton (EastEnders<\/em>, The Bill<\/em>), Marcia Warren (Vicious<\/em>, Jam and Jerusalem<\/em>), Adrian Scarborough (Miranda<\/em>, Gavin and Stacey<\/em>) and Robert Evans (Stella<\/em>). Filming will kick off at the end of the summer.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Myfanwy Moore, the commissioning editor for comedy at ITV, commented: "We’re delighted to be able to book into the Edge of Heaven B&B alongside such a great ensemble cast of larger than life characters. We hope their lives and loves will win them a place in our viewers’ hearts."<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Beryl Vertue, executive producer for Hartswood Films, added: "It is very good news that ITV have started to commission scripted comedy again, and we’ll try and give them a big hit with Edge of Heaven<\/em>. This is [writer] Robert Evans’ first original comedy series, and his hilarious scripts have attracted a great cast."<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
