Bazalgette is currently the chair of the Arts Council and the president of the Royal Television Society. During his time at Endemol he had created a number of successful formats and delivered them globally. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana\">Archie Norman, chairman of ITV plc, said: &ldquo;Peter has a fantastic track record of management of creativity in television and tremendous knowledge and experience of the global content business. His appointment is an important further step in building an ITV board capable of combining deep commercial skills with knowledge and understanding of the creative industries. We are delighted he is joining us.&rdquo;<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nBazalgette commented: &ldquo;I am delighted to be joining the board of Britain&rsquo;s major commercial broadcaster.
