He joins in May. Prior to his role at Shine 360, Gilbert was the commercial director for Shine TV. He also worked for eight years in legal and business affairs at Shine TV. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana\">Simon Vyvyan, the managing director of Industry Media, said: &ldquo;As well as being an excellent lawyer, John Gilbert is an entrepreneurial deal-maker and businessman as demonstrated by his success with the rights activity around <em>MasterChef<\/em>, <em>The Biggest Loser <\/em>and other major Shine brands. John shares Industry Media&rsquo;s commercial interpretation and understanding of production objectives in the contemporary media landscape and he has the same proactive, practical approach to negotiating deals.
