LONDON: Amazon has made its LOVEFiLM instant video service available on the Wii home console, to be followed shortly by a launch on Nintendo’s new HD Wii U. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Through the Internet-connected Wii console, consumers can watch such movies as Sherlock Holmes<\/em>, Inception<\/em> and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn—Part 1<\/em>. In the way of TV programming, members can access all seasons of Downton Abbey<\/em> as well as seasons one through seven of Grey’s Anatomy<\/em>. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Shelly Pearce, the marketing and PR director for Nintendo U.K., said: "We are thrilled to be partnering with LOVEFiLM to offer Wii owners and soon Wii U owners on-demand film and TV content to enjoy. LOVEFiLM has a proven track record of success and innovation in film distribution and is a very welcome addition."<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
