BARCELONA\/LONDON: The Walt Disney Company Spain & Portugal has struck up a partnership with Wuaki.tv to launch Disney Movies on Demand in Spain. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The service will offer Wuaki.tv’s customers a selection of Disney and Disney\/Pixar movies, which can be viewed any time on an on-demand basis. The selection includes such films as Ratatouille<\/em>, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl<\/em>, WALL•E<\/em>, Toy Story<\/em>, Pocahontas<\/em> and Dumbo<\/em>. The offerings will be refreshed on a consistent basis. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00e2\u0080\u00a8“Launching a Disney-branded SVOD movie library service in Spain is a logical next step in our distribution strategy, complementing our existing agreements with other linear and non-linear broadcasters and platforms,” said Simon Amselem, the country manager for The Walt Disney Spain & Portugal. “Through working with innovative clients, such as Wuaki.tv, we are able bring our audiences our compelling storytelling in more flexible ways, to further enhance their viewing experience.”<\/p>\n

Jacinto Roca, Wuaki.tv’s CEO, added, "We are very pleased to have closed this deal with The Walt Disney Company, and to be the first in Spain, and one of the first in Europe, to offer Disney Movies on Demand. This agreement is in line with Wuaki.tv’s priority of pioneering the best premium content distribution via the Internet, allowing consumers to choose what they see, when they want to see it, directly on their TV or game console."
