LONDON: Darlow Smithson (DSP) has been commissioned by BBC Three in conjunction with BBC Learning to produce One Day Like This<\/em>, which will be sold internationally by Endemol Worldwide Distribution<\/font><\/font>.<\/font><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

Based on real events,<\/font> One Day Like This<\/font><\/em> (working title) focuses on a fatal car accident in a small English community. The 2×1-hour show details the crash through interviews with the individuals who were involved.<\/font><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

Sasha Parkinson (Coronation Street<\/em>), Georgina Henshaw (Waterloo Road<\/em>), Lewis Rainer (Dani’s House<\/em>) and Lily Loveless (Skins<\/em>) will appear in the series, which is slated to debut on BBC Three next year.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Julian Ware, the creative director at DSP, said: "DSP is continuing to place significant focus on this kind of factual-based drama which we see as an exciting and fast emerging genre. One Day Like This<\/em> has been meticulously researched by our team and developed into a powerful and thought-provoking drama."<\/font><\/span><\/p>\n

Zai Bennet, a controller at BBC Three, added: "One Day Like This<\/em> is a riveting and emotional narrative which was inspired by real-life events. It demonstrates BBC Three’s unique role to produce thought provoking drama specifically for young adults."<\/font><\/span>
