To further these efforts, Kanal D is showcasing at MIPCOM such titles as <i>Kuzey G&uuml;ney<\/i>, whose second season got under way in September. &ldquo;The first season was very successful and it became one of the hit series of 2012 in Turkey,&rdquo; Ozsumbul says. &ldquo;Even though it is a very recent production, it has already been sold to more than 25 different countries.&rdquo; <i>K&ouml;t&uuml; Yol<\/i> and <i>Sultan<\/i> are among Kanal D&rsquo;s most recent productions. The first is inspired by the novel of the same name by Orhan Kemal. Kanal D is also offering the library titles <i>Time Goes By<\/i>, which is in its third season, and <i>Fatmag&uuml;l<\/i>, which ended with 80 total episodes. &ldquo;So far, each title has been sold to more than 30 different countries and we are looking to add new territories to the list during MIPCOM,&rdquo; Ozsumbul says.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CANNES: Eastern European, Middle Eastern and Asian viewers have already fallen in love with Turkish drama series, according to Ozlem Ozsumbul, the head of sales and acquisitions at Kanal D.
