These start-ups are offered workspace within BBC Worldwide&#8217;s offices in West London, starting September 10 for a six-month period. The participants will have the opportunity to work alongside specialists from across BBC&nbsp;Worldwide, gaining insight across areas such as technology, content, marketing, sales and distribution, advertising and more. The Advisory Board at BBC Worldwide will also provide advice and guidance for the selected companies. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana\">Jenny Fielding, the head of BBC Worldwide Labs and new digital ventures, commented: &ldquo;I&rsquo;m excited to announce our finalists and was overwhelmed with the caliber of applicants. It&rsquo;s made the selection process incredibly difficult&mdash;so much so that we decided to add an additional spot. The finalists are a fantastic mix of strategically aligned companies in areas ranging from education, cloud delivery, games, mobile, kids and video. The mix of companies and entrepreneurs is exactly what we were hoping for when we came up with the idea for BBC Worldwide Labs.  And we even bucked the tech start-up trend as half of our companies have female founders.
