Among those picking up the drama, which stars Dominic West (<em>The Wire<\/em>), are ABC in Australia, Fox International Channels and SVT in Sweden. The series had a successful first run in the U.K., and BBC Two has commissioned a second season for 2012. In the U.S., <em>The Hour <\/em>debuted in August on BBC America. The first season becomes available on Netflix in Canada in January 2012 and launches this month across 43 countries in Latin America through the Internet-based service. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana\">Ruth Clarke, the VP and head of EMEA at Shine International, commented, <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana\">&ldquo;<em>The Hour<\/em> is the cornerstone of our scripted slate and reflects the best in original, premium drama.
