Sony Pictures Television and Warner Bros. Discovery have extended their content deal across Central Eastern Europe, with a slate of feature films and TV series to be shown exclusively on HBO channels and the HBO Max streaming platform across the region.<\/p>\n
The deal will bring some of Sony Pictures Entertainment\u2019s (SPE) biggest titles and franchises to HBO and HBO Max customers, including the Whitney Houston biopic Whitney: I Wanna Dance With Somebody<\/em> and Tom Hanks-led A Man Called Otto<\/em>. Future titles on the SPE slate include Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse<\/em>, Gran Turismo<\/em>, Equalizer 3<\/em>, the next installment of the Ghostbusters<\/em> franchise and the next feature films in the Sony Pictures Universe of Marvel Characters\u00a0(including Kraven the Hunter<\/em>, El Muerto<\/em> and Madame Web<\/em>).<\/p>\n The partnership also includes the series Accused<\/em>, which launched to record ratings in January on FOX in the U.S., the BAFTA-nominated British drama Without Sin<\/em> and the 2023 titles Twisted Metal<\/em> and Lucky Hank<\/em>.<\/p>\n The film and television series deal spans Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia-Herzegovina, North Macedonia and Kosovo.<\/p>\n Mark Young, executive VP for networks and distribution at Sony Pictures Television EMEA, said: \u201cAs an independent studio with a hotly anticipated pipeline of Hollywood feature films and television series ahead of us, and an immense wealth of beloved classics in our Sony Pictures library, we are in a unique position to connect great content with audiences the world over.
