ITV and BBC have landed the rights to the UEFA EURO 2024 and UEFA EURO 2028 tournaments.<\/p>\n

The U.K. free-to-air broadcasters will split the rights to the matches equally, with shared rights to the finals. The 2024 edition will be held in Germany. The host of the 2028 tournament has not yet been determined.<\/p>\n

Niall Sloane, ITV’s director of sport, noted, \u201cThis deal keeps the EUROs available on free-to-air television for viewers for the coming years. Having delivered the biggest ever U.K. single-channel football audience of 27.6 million at last year’s EUROs, for England\u2019s semi-final victory over Denmark, we\u2019re looking forward to bringing to the widest audiences the very best coverage of tournaments that have such broad appeal.\u201d<\/p>\n

Barbara Slater, director of BBC Sport, added, \u201cThe BBC has proven time and again that we have the ability to bring the biggest sporting events to the widest audience. The previous UEFA European Championships were a huge success, so we\u2019re delighted that we\u2019ve completed this deal for the next two tournaments that we hope will provide even more memorable moments for viewers.\u201d<\/p>\n
