ITV has set the official launch date for the new, free streaming platform ITVX, which replaces ITV Hub as the online home of all ITV content.<\/p>\n
ITVX will be rolling out across devices and platforms in the coming weeks to ensure viewers have full access to all content, including the new exclusive-to-streaming titles, which will go live on Thursday, December 8.<\/p>\n
From launch, viewers will have access to more than 10,000 hours of content, and ITVX will also release new and exclusive programs every week of the year.<\/p>\n
All of ITV\u2019s channels will be available to live stream through ITVX, as well as additional FAST channels and a dedicated news section on ITVX.<\/p>\n
ITVX\u2019s inaugural commissions, which will be available on launch day, include the six-part cold war drama A Spy Among Friends<\/em>, new teen drama Tell Me Everything<\/em>, period drama The Confessions of Frannie Langton<\/em> and Plebs: Soldiers of Rome<\/em>, the feature-length special finale to the comedy series.<\/p>\n At least one flagship show will then launch on ITVX per week going forward. Litvinenko<\/em>, starring David Tennant and Mark Bonnar, will launch on December 15, followed by the family drama Riches<\/em>, starring Deborah Ayorinde and Hugh Quarshie, on December 22 alongside the landmark natural history documentary A Year on Planet Earth<\/em>, presented by Stephen Fry. The four-part thriller Without Sin<\/em>, starring Vicky McClure, and the new game show Loaded in Paradise<\/em> will launch on December 28. Nolly<\/em>, Russell T Davies\u2019 upcoming drama, will launch in early 2023.<\/p>\n In addition to the series premiering and streaming exclusively on ITVX, the service will be launching full seasons of upcoming flagship ITV shows on their first day of broadcast. This includes the drama Stonehouse<\/em>, starring Matthew Macfadyen and Keeley Hawes, and the new seasons of Unforgotten<\/em>, which will be made available in early 2023.<\/p>\n ITVX will launch with more than 250 feature films, with a thousand movies to be made available to stream each year. Films available at launch will include the Back to the Future<\/em> trilogy, the Despicable Me<\/em> trilogy, Wonder Woman<\/em> and more. The full Fast and Furious<\/em> series of films will debut in 2023.<\/p>\n The service will launch with a slew of documentaries, including the natural history documentary A Year On Planet Earth<\/em>. ITVX will also feature a dedicated true-crime collection, with over 150 hours of viewing, including Monster in My Family<\/em>. The Case Against Cosby<\/em> will follow in 2023. ITVX factual commissions Rolf Harris: Hiding in Plain Sight<\/em> (w.t.), The Rise and Fall of Boris Becker<\/em> (w.t.) and A Murder in the Family<\/em> will also launch in 2023.<\/p>\n With regard to science-fiction and fantasy offerings, the lineup ranges from classics such as Thunderbirds<\/em>, Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons<\/em>, Terrahawks<\/em>, Joe 90<\/em>, Stingray<\/em>, Space 199<\/em> and UFO<\/em> to the likes of Supernatural<\/em>, The 100<\/em> and Nikita<\/em> and classics in the making such as Astrid & Lilly Save the World<\/em> and Korean-American hit series Dramaworld<\/em>.<\/p>\n For news, there will be a dedicated rail featuring the most significant and interesting stories, updated throughout the day, some in bitesize easily digestible videos and other longer, more in-depth reports of news from ITV\u2019s bulletins, and in the morning, GMB<\/em>. ITVX will also work in tandem with the ITV News website and ITV News social pages, with a range of reporters and presenters delivering new content daily.<\/p>\n ITV\u2019s chief executive, Carolyn McCall, said: \u201cWe\u2019re really excited to launch ITVX, with more content available than ever before and a whole range of exclusive commissions.
