Nicola Shindler\u2019s Quay Street Productions is bringing the comedic drama Significant Other<\/em> to ITVX, with Katherine Parkinson and Youssef Kerkour as the leads.<\/p>\n

Significant Other<\/em> is an unconventional love story told through a comedic lens. Parkinson (The IT Crowd<\/em>, Hitmen<\/em>, Defending the Guilty<\/em>) and Kerkour (Stay Close<\/em>, House of Gucci<\/em>, Home<\/em>) play two lonely neighbors in their mid-40s who embark on a hesitant, obstacle-filled relationship after drastic life events bring them together.<\/p>\n

The 6×30-minute dramedy has been adapted from yes Studios\u2019 award-winning Israeli series of the same name. Significant Other<\/em> was created by Dana Modan, Assi Cohen and Ram Nehari, and it has been adapted and written by Dana Fainaru (Vikings: Valhalla<\/em>, The Last Czars<\/em>, Death in Paradise<\/em>) and Hamish Wright (Mr. Selfridge<\/em>, Casualty<\/em>, The Secret Life of Us<\/em>), who also serve as executive producers alongside Shindler (It\u2019s a Sin<\/em>, Stay Close<\/em>, Years and Years<\/em>, Ridley Road<\/em>, Happy Valley<\/em>). David Sant (Spitting Image<\/em>, Hitmen<\/em>, Jack and the Beanstalk: After Ever After<\/em>, Benidorm<\/em>) is directing and Debbie Pisani (Flack<\/em>, Back to Life<\/em>, Peep Show<\/em>) is series producing.<\/p>\n
