Eccho Rights has appointed Calinos Entertainment alum Melis Hamamcioglu as director of digital media acquisition and content sales.<\/p>\n

Hamamcioglu will manage sales of the company\u2019s full catalog in MENA, Israel and India, and will handle Turkish drama sales in Western Europe. She will also work on acquiring content specifically for digital platforms. She will work out of Eccho Rights\u2019 London office, which opened in 2021.<\/p>\n

Hamamcioglu joins from Calinos Entertainment, where has was international content sales director for three-and-a-half years. She previously held various sales and acquisitions roles at Fox Networks Group and Digiturk (now beIN).<\/p>\n

\u201cMelis is a highly respected executive in the industry, and we are thrilled to have her expertise in our team,\u201d said Fredrik af Malmborg, managing director at Eccho Rights. \u201cFor the past 12 months, we have been rapidly expanding our direct-to-consumer business, managing in house the content we represent on various digital platforms, including YouTube. Having seen the additional value that this is bringing our existing rights holders, we are now ramping up our efforts to identify the next great content that can work specifically on these platforms.\u201d<\/p>\n
