Indielab has unveiled its 15-strong cohort of independent TV production companies that have joined its 2022 TV Accelerator.<\/p>\n
The selected indies come from across Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and England and showcase diversity across gender, ethnicity, accessibility and background. This year\u2019s chosen indies are At Land Productions, Brown Bred Productions, Chalk Productions, Frieda, Goat Films, Gold Wala, Montrose Pictures, Osprey Television, Other Productions, Oxford Films Glasgow, Studio Crook, Studio Something, Telesgop, Tyrone Productions and Zandland Films.<\/p>\n
The cohort covers scripted and unscripted content and a range of genres\u2014from feature documentaries, current affairs and music to specialist factual, kids, comedy and prime-time entertainment formats.<\/p>\n
The 2022 program, which starts this week and runs until the end of June, will be delivered through a mix of virtual and in-person bespoke masterclasses and seminars from industry experts. Sam Barcroft, founder of Creatorville, will be delivering this year\u2019s keynote address, while other speakers include Daniel Pearl, VP of unscripted U.K. originals at Paramount+, and Babita Bahal, group head of diversity, equity and inclusion at Fremantle.<\/p>\n
