Viaplay and Sony Pictures Television (SPT) have signed a multiyear extension on their long-term content partnership in the Nordic region.<\/p>\n
The latest Sony films and television series will continue to receive their Nordic streaming premieres on the Viaplay service, alongside series box sets and classic movies. Additionally, SPT series will join the pipeline of international Viaplay originals.<\/p>\n
The deal will see new releases and catalog titles from the studio\u2019s canon of Marvel characters come to Viaplay, following their theatrical runs and home entertainment windows, including the screen debuts for characters such as Kraven The Hunter, Madame Web and Morbius. It also sees Viaplay secure access to a host of Sony’s global box-office hits and franchises, including Uncharted<\/em>, Venom<\/em>, Jumanji<\/em>, Ghostbusters<\/em>, Peter Rabbit<\/em>, Bad Boys<\/em> and Spider-Man<\/em>.<\/p>\n The agreement also secures new Sony films and series for Viaplay\u2019s V Film pay-TV channels and a wide selection of new and library films for Viaplay\u2019s Scandinavian TV channels.<\/p>\n Filippa Wallestam, NENT Group’s chief content officer, said: \u201cWe are delighted to deepen our long-term partnership with Sony Pictures Entertainment.
