The British Animation Awards 2022 revealed the winners at a ceremony held at London\u2019s BFI Southbank and presented by comedian Miles Jupp.<\/p>\n
Britain\u2019s two Oscar-nominated short films,\u00a0Affairs of the Art<\/em> and Robin Robin<\/em>,\u00a0<\/em>were both winners.\u00a0The latter, a Netflix original film from Aardman Animations, won the award for Best Original Music for its score, written by The Bookshop Band. The short is about an optimistic robin raised by a family of mice.<\/p>\n Affairs of the Art <\/em>picked\u00a0up three awards: Best Short Film, Writers Award and Best Voice Performance for 86-year-old Little Britain<\/em> star Menna Trussler. Created by Joanna Quinn and Les Mills, Affairs of the Art<\/em> continues the story of Welsh housewife Beryl who has grand artistic ambitions.<\/p>\n Magic Light Pictures was successful in two categories, with the BBC One Christmas special Zog and the Flying Doctors<\/em> winning for Best Use of Sound. The Milkshake! and Sky Kids series Pip and Posy<\/em>, meanwhile, picked up the award for Best Children\u2019s Pre-School.<\/p>\n The Best Children\u2019s category was won by Fourth Wall\u2019s series Milo<\/em>.\u00a0The Best Long Form category was won by Locksmith Animations\u2019 debut feature, Ron\u2019s Gone Wrong<\/em>, which tells the story of a socially awkward middle-schooler who befriends a defective robot.<\/p>\n The Best Animation in a Commercial category was topped by Airwick for its Breath of Nature campaign. The Best Music Video Award was delivered to animator Ged Haney, with his video for Rocket Freudental\u2019s \u201cDer Stuhlkreis.\u201d<\/p>\n Save Ralph<\/em>, an animated short film warning about the cruelty of testing on animals, produced for the Humane Society International, won for Best Factual. The Social Good category, meanwhile, was won by Typically<\/em>, which aims to remove the taboo surrounding periods.<\/p>\n The Best Immersive Animation award was picked up by Grant Berry and Dane Winn\u2019s The Beast<\/em>, while Osbert Parker\u2019s Timeline<\/em> won the Wildcard category. The Cutting-Edge award was won by Jamie Jay Johnson and Asa Movshovitz\u2019s E4 series Dead Pixels<\/em>. This year\u2019s Design award was won by the Netflix original Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey<\/em>.<\/p>\n Three awards on the night were decided by members of the public, voting for their favorites in a special online poll. Audience awards were: Tony Comley\u2019s Time to Recover<\/em> for Best Music Video, Uri Lotan\u2019s Black Slide<\/em> for Best Short Film and Sky Kids\u2019 hit children\u2019s series The Brilliant World of Tom Gates<\/em> for the Children\u2019s Choice Award.<\/p>\n The British Animation Awards 2022 were sponsored by Hanna Barbera Studios Europe.<\/p>\n British Animation Awards Director Helen Brunsdon and Producer Kieran Argo said: \u201cWe have been amazed at the quality of the entrants for this year\u2019s British Animation Awards and would like to offer our heartfelt congratulations to all the winners and nominees.
