BBC Studios has officially appointed as chief financial officer Lorraine Burgess, who previously held the position in an interim capacity.<\/p>\n

Burgess will sit on BBC Studios\u2019 executive committee and lead the overall financial strategy and teams for the BBC\u2019s commercial arm. Working with CEO Tom Fussell and the executive committee, as well as key BBC Group and external stakeholders, she will help shape strategy to achieve BBC Studios\u2019 commercial ambition.<\/p>\n

Prior to joining BBC Studios in July 2021, Burgess was managing director of Green Door Pictures and its associated companies. She previously led digital\u202foperations, commercial and corporate development for Endemol Shine Group and held roles at Ingenious Media and Universal Pictures.<\/p>\n

Fussell said: \u201cAfter brilliantly assuming the role as interim for the past few months, I\u2019m thrilled to confirm Lorraine in a permanent capacity. Her extensive commercial, strategic and leadership experience in creative businesses has been invaluable to us over the last few months and will be critical for us as we seek to develop our ambitious growth plans and help deliver increasing commercial revenues for the BBC.\u201d<\/p>\n
