After nine years at Sky, Jane Millichip has decided to step down from her role as chief content officer at Sky Studios to “seek new challenges.”<\/p>\n
Millichip’s departure was announced in an internal note from C\u00e9cile Frot-Coutaz, CEO of Sky Studios, seen by World Screen<\/em>.<\/p>\n Under Millichip\u2019s leadership, Sky Vision, Sky\u2019s former production and distribution arm, grew from \u00a38 million in revenues to \u00a3250 million in six years and spearheaded Sky\u2019s investment into independent production companies and content distribution.\u00a0Since the formation of Sky Studios, Millichip expanded her initial commercial remit to include leading editorial activities across the U.K., Germany and Italy.<\/p>\n As part of a new operating model, Caroline Cooper will be expanding her remit as chief operating officer of Sky Studios to encompass broader commercial activities as well as production operations, plus Sky Studios Elstree.<\/p>\n Sky Studios business affairs, led by Julian Dexter; the international scripted team, led by Jason Simms; content operations, led by Bee Devine; and director of corporate development, Rob Siegel, will all report to Cooper, who also retains overall responsibility for Sky Studios Elstree.<\/p>\n Gabriel Silver, Preethi Mavahalli, Jon Mountague, Nils Hartmann and Rebecca Segal now report directly to Frot-Coutaz.<\/p>\n “Given the interdependencies of our operations, commercial and business affairs teams, bringing them together under a single leadership structure will allow us to move quicker, streamline decision making and foster greater collaboration,” said Frot-Coutaz.<\/p>\n “Over the past five months, I have witnessed the restless passion this company has to deliver the best content and products to our customers across Europe.
