Thomas J. Ciampa has been appointed as country manager for Italy, Spain and Portugal at WarnerMedia, following yesterday’s news of Barbara Salab\u00e8 planning to depart.<\/p>\n

Ciampa will report to Priya Dogra, president of WarnerMedia EMEA and Asia (excluding China). Ciampa will take on responsibility for the development and execution of WarnerMedia\u2019s strategy and optimization of all commercial and group marketing activities in Italy, Spain and Portugal.<\/p>\n

His remit includes theatrical distribution, local theatrical productions, content licensing, home entertainment, consumer products, as well as ad sales and affiliate distribution for the WarnerMedia channels and streaming services. Ciampa will continue to manage the distribution of Sony Pictures\u2019 movies in Italy. He will work closely with WarnerMedia Studios and Networks in Burbank, as well as with HBO Max.<\/p>\n

Ciampa has worked for WarnerMedia in a variety of senior management roles, most recently as senior VP for theatrical distribution for Italy, Spain and Portugal and Italian local productions. He first joined Warner Bros. in 2002 as sales manager.<\/p>\n
