The Royal Television Society (RTS) has appointed Cameron Roach, former head of drama at Sky, as chair of the RTS North West Centre.<\/p>\n
As chair, Roach will oversee and lead committee members of the RTS North West Centre. He will run the planning, facilitation and production of physical and virtual events, as well as oversee regional membership.<\/p>\n
The RTS North West Centre supports the production industry in the region with its own program of lectures, workshops, masterclasses, awards and social events that run throughout the year, including the annual RTS North West Awards.<\/p>\n
Roach had been at Sky since 2013. He was appointed head of drama in 2018 and has earned credits for Chernobyl<\/em>, Britannia<\/em>, A\u00a0<\/em>Discovery of Witches<\/em>, Catherine The Great<\/em>, Gangs of London<\/em>, Third Day<\/em>, I Hate Suzie<\/em> and Save Me Too<\/em>. Roach will continue to consult for Sky Studios and recently launched his own drama label, Rope Ladder Fiction.<\/p>\n Theresa Wise, CEO of the Royal Television Society, said: \u201cWe are delighted to welcome Cameron to this key role where I\u2019m sure he will bring his considerable experience and insights to all activity across our vibrant North West Centre.
