The 60th edition of the Monte-Carlo Television Festival will conclude later this month with the Golden Nymph Awards Ceremony, where actor Tch\u00e9ky Karyo will receive the Crystal Nymph Award.<\/p>\n
The Crystal Nymph Award will be presented at the end of the ceremony on June 22 to Karyo by Prince Albert II of Monaco. The Crystal Nymph is awarded to a major international television actor to recognize a stellar body of work.<\/p>\n
One of France\u2019s most popular actors, Karyo was born in Istanbul and grew up in Paris. After studying drama, he took on a number of theatrical and feature film roles. His television work includes notable performances in such international series such as The Missing<\/em>, The Name of the Rose<\/em>, Zerozerozero<\/em> and Possessions<\/em>. Among other forthcoming productions, Tch\u00e9ky is about to reprise the title role in a new series of Baptiste<\/em>, which has been sold to more than 80 territories.<\/p>\n Laurent Puons, CEO of the Festival, said: \u201cBeing honored with a Crystal Nymph is a true validation of the exceptional work of an actor. Tch\u00e9ky has achieved this important recognition through his understated and gritty performances in many television series throughout a long career. I am delighted that he is to receive this highest accolade at our Anniversary edition. Besides his professionalism, he is a figure I truly admire.
