The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has announced the nominations for the Virgin Media British Academy Television Awards and British Academy Television Craft Awards, with 15 nods for Small Axe<\/em> and 10 for The Crown<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Gangs of London<\/em>, I Hate Suzie<\/em>, Save Me Too<\/em> and The Crown<\/em> are up for drama series. Miniseries nominations went to Adult Material<\/em>, I May Destroy You<\/em>, Normal People<\/em> and Small Axe<\/em>.<\/p>\n

On the performance side, Billie Piper is nominated for I Hate Suzie<\/em>, Daisy Edgar-Jones for Normal People<\/em>, Hayley Squires for Adult Material<\/em>, Jodie Comer for Killing Eve<\/em>, Letitia Wright for Small Axe<\/em> and Michaela Coel for I May Destroy You<\/em>. Best actor nods went to John Boyega for Small Axe<\/em>, Josh O’Connor for The Crown<\/em>, Paapa Essiedu for I May Destroy You<\/em>, Paul Mescal for Normal People<\/em>, Shaun Parkes for Small Axe<\/em> and Waleed Zuaiter for Baghdad Central<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The comedy contenders are Ghosts<\/em>, Inside No 9<\/em>, Man Like Mobeen<\/em> and This Country<\/em>. For female performance in a comedy, the nominees are Aimee Lou Wood for Sex Education<\/em>, Daisy Haggard for Breeders<\/em>, Daisy May Cooper for This Country<\/em>, Emma Mackey for Sex Education<\/em>, Gbemisola Ikumelo for Famalam<\/em> and Mae Martin for Feel Good<\/em>. The male comedic performance nominees are Charlie Cooper for This Country<\/em>, Guz Khan for Man Like Mobeen<\/em>, Joseph Gilgun for Brassic<\/em>, Ncuti Gatwa for Sex Education<\/em>, Paul Ritter for Friday Night Dinner<\/em> and Reece Shearsmith for Inside No 9<\/em>.<\/p>\n

In the category for reality and constructed factual are MasterChef: The Professionals<\/em>, Race Across the World<\/em>, The School That Tried To End Racism<\/em> and The Write Offs<\/em>. Nods for specialist factual went to Extinction: The Facts<\/em>, Putin: A Russian Spy Story<\/em>, The Rise of the Murdoch Dynasty<\/em> and The Surgeon’s Cut<\/em>. The nominated entertainment programs are Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway<\/em>, Life & Rhymes<\/em>, Strictly Come Dancing<\/em> and The Masked Singer<\/em>. Factual series nominees are Crime & Punishment<\/em>, Hospital<\/em>, Losing It: Our Mental Health Emergency<\/em> and Once Upon a Time In Iraq<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The nominees are international series are Little America<\/em>, Lovecraft Country<\/em>, Unorthodox<\/em> and Welcome To Chechnya: The Gay Purge<\/em>.<\/p>\n
