{"id":10783,"date":"2021-02-04T11:44:18","date_gmt":"2021-02-04T16:44:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tveurope\/vcn-uk-accelerates-streaming-business\/"},"modified":"2021-02-04T11:44:45","modified_gmt":"2021-02-04T16:44:45","slug":"vcn-uk-accelerates-streaming-business","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tveurope\/2021\/02\/04\/vcn-uk-accelerates-streaming-business\/","title":{"rendered":"VCN UK Accelerates Streaming Business"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ViacomCBS Networks UK (VCN UK) has launched a new growth and partnerships division to advance its streaming business.<\/p>\n<p>The newly formed unit is tasked with increasing streaming revenue and expanding its range of partnerships in the U.K. It will be led by Dan Fahy, who has been promoted to senior VP and head of emerging business. He will report to Sarah Rose, who takes on an expanded role as chief operating and commercial officer of VCN UK, continuing to report to Maria Kyriacou, president of ViacomCBS UK and Australia.<\/p>\n<p>Fahy will spearhead a revenue growth strategy for all VCN UK streaming platforms, including Channel 5\u2019s AVOD service, My5 and Pluto TV UK, which moves under U.K. management. He will oversee all aspects of the unit, bringing growth analytics, monetization, growth marketing, customer experience and streaming partnership functions together in one team.<\/p>\n<p>Ashley Sennik has been appointed to VP of growth for U.K. streaming and Akhila Khanna has been promoted to VP of partner engagement and business development. Sennik will be responsible for leading the newly created growth function across acquisition, engagement and monetization, while Khanna will be responsible for streaming partnerships and business development.<\/p>\n<p>Sennik will jointly report to Fahy and Marco Nobili, senior VP of international marketing and growth and streaming for VCN Americas. Khanna will jointly report to Fahy and Angela Heckman, senior VP of streaming revenue and operations for VCN International.<\/p>\n<p>Maria Kyriacou said: \u201cSarah has made a significant impression in a short space of time and I\u2019m delighted that she is taking on this expanded role within our U.K. senior leadership team.&#8221;\u00a0Kyriacou added, \u201cStreaming is a key priority for us and with Dan\u2019s longstanding expertise in this area, he is well placed to drive forward our revenue growth strategy with this new team.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fahy commented: \u201cBy uniting all of our critical growth functions under one new and dedicated team, we\u2019re ensuring that our platforms have the capabilities and resources needed to reach their full potential.
