Global Screen is consolidating all sales and acquisition activities across both TV and film content, with Julia Weber to head up the business and Alexandra Heidrich exiting the company.<\/p>\n

Weber has been appointed head of international acquisitions and sales and will lead Global Screen as of January 2021. Heidrich, previously head of acquisitions and sales for TV international at Global Screen, is leaving TELEPOOL by the end of the year.<\/p>\n

Jan Frouman, CEO of TELEPOOL, said: “The traditional international distribution model is very much a thing of the past. More than ever, we need to engage with creators earlier and operate as reliable and fully committed co-producers\u2014no matter the type of content. Theatrical films and TV product are each core to our international business. Consolidating everything under Julia\u2019s experienced and proven leadership is a logical next step and will allow us to be strategic, nimble and growth-focused.\u201d<\/p>\n

Weber commented: \u201cI am incredibly excited about the trust placed in me. I kicked off my career in TV sales, and have also spent years dedicating myself to the film business. This move allows me to bring it all together just as the lines between cinema, TV and VOD are becoming increasingly blurred.\u201d<\/p>\n
