Banijay has appointed Owain Walbyoff chief commercial officer, effective September 1.<\/p>\n
Reporting to Banijay COO Peter Langenberg and based in London, Walbyoff will devise and execute the group\u2019s licensing strategy to drive market penetration and revenue growth. He will be tasked with maximizing monetization opportunities across the business\u2019 IP portfolio and managing all teams across merchandising, brand licensing, gaming and gambling and music.<\/p>\n
The Banijay portfolio Walbyoff will now represent features MasterChef<\/em>, Deal or No Deal<\/em>, Peaky Blinders<\/em>, Temptation Island<\/em>, Survivor<\/em>, Tipping Point<\/em>, Big Brother<\/em>, Operation Triunfo<\/em>, Simon\u2019s Cat<\/em>, Mr Bean<\/em>, The Biggest Loser<\/em>, Ready Steady Coo<\/em>k, Black Mirror<\/em>, Miss France<\/em>, Eat Well for Less<\/em> and Crystal Maze<\/em>.<\/p>\n In his most recent role working in the tech industry, Waylbyoff oversaw licensing, R&D partnerships and marketing activity, working with brands like LVMH, and Formula 1. In 2018, Walbyoff provided consultancy to ITV, helping with strategy and business development across its gaming, gambling, and app portfolio. He also worked with the licensing team there on its IP offering.
