Le Rendez-Vous Bi@rritz 2020, a hybrid experience for buyers and exporters, is slated to take place from September 7 to 9.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is essential to maintain the spotlight on French content that Le Rendez-Vous Biarritz has been offering for 25 years now\u2014even when the COVID-19 pandemic makes that really challenging,\u201d said Sarah Hemar, executive director of TV France International. \u201cWe have to preserve the space it creates along with its spirit of exchange and fun\u2014and of course its effectiveness.\u201d<\/p>\n
She adds: \u201cThe Agence PublicisLive proposal will enable us to combine the agility of a dedicated digital platform with a pop-up film studio, a live space for exchanges\u2014which allows us to meet that objective. This hybrid transformation gives us the possibility of reinventing our flagship event and showcasing newly available French content in September, all the while offering participants unique content talks and events that illustrate the liveliness of French creativity.\u201d<\/p>\n
The event will have a dedicated digital platform linked directly with Screenopsis that will serve as its worldwide showcase. TV France International will propose a selection of video content and exclusive animation to watch live and on replay, boosted by speakers and video subjects.\u00a0The platform will be available through September 30.<\/p>\n
A pop-up studio on the rooftops of Paris will become a “physical\u201d meeting space throughout Le Rendez-Vous Bi@rritz for TV France and its members, institutional partners and participating personalities. It offers registered buyers across the globe a direct link with the French audiovisual export community. Throughout the three days of the event, there will be panel discussions, event presentations of programs, pitching sessions and more.<\/p>\n
For the 26th edition, the event is rolling out a new logo that displays the colors of France. Further, the \u201cBiarritz\u201d in the logo now features an \u201cat\u201d sign (@), a nod to this year\u2019s digital nature. Two fonts were chosen for the logo\u2014one modern and inspired by the sea, the other a calligraphy-style typeface, evoking a personal, handwritten invitation to attend.<\/p>\n
Hemar says: \u201cToday, by digitizing this important event in the French audiovisual export calendar, we aim to reinforce relationships between TV French members and their clients, which are strong and maintained despite the difficulties of the current situation. We want to offer everyone, despite distance, three fun days of meetings during a French Week.
