The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has revealed the nominees for its TV awards, with Chernobyl<\/em> and The Crown<\/em> leading the pack in nominations.<\/p>\n

For the Virgin Media British Academy Television Awards and British Academy Television Craft Awards, there were 14 total nominations for Chernobyl<\/em>, seven for The Crown<\/em>, six for Fleabag <\/em>and Giri\/Haji<\/em>, five for His Dark Materials<\/em> and The Virtues <\/em>and four nominations for Killing Eve<\/em>, Sex Education <\/em>and Top Boy<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The Crown<\/em> is up against The End of the F***Ing World<\/em>, Gentleman Jack<\/em> and Giri\/Haji<\/em> in the drama series category. The miniseries arena features A Confession<\/em>, Chernobyl<\/em>, The Victim<\/em> and The Virtues<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Lead actor nominees are Callum Turner for The Capture<\/em>, Jared Harris for Chernobyl<\/em>, Stephen Graham for The Virtues<\/em> and Takehiro Hira for Giri\/Haji<\/em>. Lead actress contenders are Glenda Jackson for Elizabeth Is Missing<\/em>, Jodie Comer for Killing Eve<\/em>, Samantha Morton for I Am Kirst<\/em>y and Suranne Jones for Gentleman Jack<\/em>.<\/p>\n

For scripted comedy, the nominees are Catastrophe<\/em>, Derry Girls<\/em>, Fleabag<\/em> and Stath Lets Flats<\/em>. The female comedy nominees for performance are Gbemisola Ikumelo for Famalam<\/em>, Phoebe Waller-Bridge for Fleabag<\/em>, Sarah Kendall for Frayed<\/em> and Sian Clifford for Fleabag<\/em>. Male performance nominees for comedy are Guz Khan for Man Like Mobeen<\/em>, Jamie Demetriou for Stath Lets Flats<\/em>, Ncuti Gatwa for Sex Education<\/em> and Youssef Kerkour for Home<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The nominated programs for single drama are Brexit: The Uncivil War<\/em>, Elizabeth Is Missing<\/em>, The Left Behind<\/em> and Responsible Child<\/em>. The nominated soaps or continuing dramas are Casualty<\/em>, Coronation Street<\/em>, Emmerdale<\/em> and Holby City<\/em>.<\/p>\n

For comedy entertainment programs, The Graham Norton Show<\/em> is nominated alongside The Last Leg<\/em>, The Ranganation<\/em> and Taskmaster<\/em>. For entertainment programs, it’s The Greatest Dancer<\/em> up against The Rap Game UK<\/em>, Strictly Come Dancing<\/em> and The Voice UK<\/em>. Performers in the entertainment category receiving nods are Frankie Boyle for Frankie Boyle\u2019s New World Order<\/em>, Graham Norton for The Graham Norton Show<\/em>, Lee Mack for Would I Lie To You<\/em> and Mo Gilligan for The Lateish Show With Mo Gilligan<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Celebrity Gogglebox<\/em> is nominated for reality and constructed factual, along with Harry\u2019s Heroes: The Full English<\/em>, Race Across the World<\/em> and RuPaul\u2019s Drag Race UK<\/em>. In the way of pure factual, the nominated programs are Crime and Punishment<\/em>, Don\u2019t F**k with Cats: Hunting an Internet Killer<\/em>, Leaving Neverland<\/em> and Our Dementia Choir with Vicky Mcclure<\/em>. For specialist factual, the nominees are 8 Days: To the Moon and Back;<\/em>\u00a0Seven Worlds, One Planet;<\/em>\u00a0Thatcher: A Very British Revolution;<\/em> and Yorkshire Ripper Files<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The international category features Euphoria<\/em>, Succession<\/em>, Unbelievable<\/em> and When They See Us<\/em>.<\/p>\n
