Sarah Monteith has been tapped to fill the newly created role of managing director at Baby Cow Productions.<\/p>\n
When she takes up her new position in mid-May, Monteith will work alongside CEO Christine Langan. She joins Baby Cow Productions with 20 years\u2019 experience in the media industry, most recently serving as interim chief marketing officer for BBC Studios. She became BBC Studios\u2019 global director of brand and content marketing in 2018 and director of marketing strategy and operations for the BBC in 2014. She joined the BBC Group in 2011 as marketing and fundraising director for BBC Children in Need.<\/p>\n
BBC Studios became a shareholder in Baby Cow Productions, co-founded in 1999 by Steve Coogan and Henry Normal, in 2008 and has been its majority owner since 2016.<\/p>\n
Coogan said: \u201cBaby Cow has been going through a period of transition and development, expanding into drama as well as building on our reputation for pioneering comedy shows. We are now at a stage where much of our slate is fighting fit and ready to go.
