TV 2 has commissioned Denmark Stands Together<\/em>, a special entertainment show from Banijay Group company Nordisk Film TV that is set to air this Saturday.<\/p>\n

The special broadcast event is all about moral support and unity in this worldwide crisis. Denmark Stands Together<\/em> will see hosts Natasja Crone, Puk Elg\u00e5rd and Anders Breinholt broadcast live from two makeshift studios, Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen being the main location. Out in the open and with six feet between them, they will talk to well-known and unknown Danes who are doing something special in these unprecedented times.\u00a0Sharing stories from all over the country, there will also be the opportunity to say \u201cthank you\u201d to the many who are making a difference in the country right now. The show will bring live \u201cat-home\u201d Danish performances from major Danish artists.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn recent weeks, TV 2’s focus and public service efforts have naturally been about delivering the Danes news and information about the guidelines we must follow,\u201d said TV 2’s program director, Lotte Lindegaard. \u201cNow it must also be about saying thank you for being there when it really counts\u2014and for keeping your head up and standing together in these difficult times. Although we cannot physically gather, we need something to bring us together.\u00a0At TV 2, we will, in our own way, open the closed doors.\u00a0It is important that we forge a bond between ourselves at home and the many who deserve great thanks for their efforts when they care for the sick and the old, when they help the vulnerable in everyday life, or when they pick up our trash, complete store jobs, and generally make society work.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
