BBC Studios has elevated Maggy Chan to the newly created role of managing director of its global distribution division.<\/p>\n

Chan is responsible for all business operations and accountable for the finances and delivery of business plans for the division, which encompasses all international content sales, channels and ancillary businesses. Her role reports to Paul Dempsey, president of global distribution. She joined (then) BBC Worldwide in 2008 and was most recently commercial director for global markets.<\/p>\n

Dempsey said, \u201cMaggy has a deep understanding of our business and industry. She brings robust stewardship and a huge amount of passion to our team. I\u2019m very pleased she is taking on this new role.\u201d<\/p>\n
